Fresh on the pavement, we snapped some photos of a prototype of the upcoming Rivian R1S all-electric SUV while it was performing validation testing.
It's hard to miss its eye-catching turquoise-striped camouflage.
We hear that production of the R1S is slated to start next month in July, with the Launch Edition starting at $75,500 and boasting a 300 mile range with a 0-60 mph time as quick as three seconds (depending on tires).
The electric SUV features three rows of seating for up to seven people, and capable of towing a maximum of 7,700 lbs with their quad motor system.
Expect off-road prowess from this vehicle, as Rivian is claiming an adjustable ride height from 8.1 inches to 14.2 inches, delivering a 34.8 degree approach angle. 34.3 degree departure and a 28.9° breakover angle and three feet of wading depth.
