Jeep Wrangler JK accessories continue to roll out almost daily. While some of them are merely for looks, others provide an added element of function and protection. The new XHD Rock Sliders from Rugged Ridge fits somewhere in the middle. Designed for the 2007 to 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK two and four-door models, the bolt-on rockers guards are intended to offer added body protection as well as function as a step. The one-piece design is crafted from CNC laser-cut steel plate and finished with a black textured coating.
Each Rock Slider also features an integrated four-inch step, which helps climbing into a lifted Wrangler. The Rock Sliders are said to work with most aftermarket and stock fender flares. While you can install them without drilling, we suggest adding the option rivnuts included with the armor. For those concerned about your paint, you’ll be glad to know that rubber gaskets are provided to protect the paint along the body panel and door seal area.
