Caught in our camera lens is this interesting prototype version of the Ford Bronco that foreshadows an upcoming all-out overlanding model that looks ready to tackle nearly anything off-road.
Granted, we snapped photos of this one on the streets of metro Detroit, which is the exact opposite of off-road.
But we already know from all the off roading by Vaughn Gittin Jr and the RTR crew that this model will rival anything from Jeep.
And, even under the heavy vinyl camouflage, it's easy to tell that it's more than a simple special edition.
On the front end, the prototype features a reworded front fascia along with a very obvious Warn winch.
There's also a snorkel mounted on the passenger-side A-pillar, which should prove useful when fording deeper water. The raised roof covering suggests auxiliary lighting, a cargo basket/roof rack, or maybe even a built-in tent.
Also note that this particular Bronco prototype is riding on a unique set of wheels and tires that we haven't seen on any of the production models.
It looks to be riding on mud terrains of the 315/70R17 variety, which we've seen on the prototype Sasquatch package.
