If you are at all familiar with Honda's motorsport history here in North America, then you've likely heard of Wisconsin-based Real Time Racing. Founded by Peter Cunningham back in 1987, Real Time has campaigned Hondas and Acuras in everything from ice racing and rally to GT and touring car action.
Not only is Peter one of the world's most established racers and builders of Hondas, but he also has one of the most impressive collections of Honda and Acura vehicles in the world. As part of its Honda Kokoro series, Honda recently sent a film crew out to showcase Peter's collection and the story behind some of the cars in it.
Initially, the plan was to simply have a collection of cars that were relevant to the history of Real Time Racing, including beloved models like the Integra Type R, NSX and Prelude. But one thing led to another and the collection grew to include all things Honda.
Today, the collection features both four and two-wheeled Hondas and goes back to the earliest days of the brand in the U.S. with cars like the Honda N600 and S600 and their high-winding, motorcycle-based engines.
Not only does the collection include some of the most important and popular vehicles Honda has ever built, but Peter has also managed to source some of the cleanest and most factory fresh examples we've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and check out the video. If you weren't a Honda fan before, you just may become one after.
