EVO Manufacturing, is a business well known in the Jeep community. Specializing in long-travel suspension systems and cutting edge products for the Jeep Wrangler, the Southern California company is one of the leaders in aftermarket JK parts. Each year, EVO president Mel Wade puts on a trail ride in Moab, Utah, during the annual Easter Jeep Safari. This year’s ride took participants to one of the most epic spots surround Moab, the Top of the World trail.

Meeting at the Blu Pig in downtown Moab, Utah, customers and fans were able to meet and shake hands with EVO creator Mel Wade while we discussed the plan for the day. To get to the trailhead, it would be a 30 mile drive outside of town.

After airing down, and doing a quick vehicle check, we were given a lunch bag courtesy of KMC Wheels. Hey, who doesn’t like free lunch?

What begins as a windy dirt road quickly turns into a bumpy single lane trail. Before long, you come to the first slick rock ledge.

Over the years, this trail has become more and more difficult. For some of the more modestly built vehicles with us, this was the first real challenge. With some guidance from Wade they too were quickly up and on the way.

That first obstacle sets the pace for the trail. For the next bit you will work your way from ledge to ledge, inching closer to the grand prize view ahead.

The trail peaks out at the top of a 1,300-foot cliff overlooking the narrows valley below. For those with a stomach for heights, you can drive your rig right up to the edge for a photo.

After eating lunch, and shuffling Jeeps around for photos on the edge, we loaded up and carried on.

The rest of the trail takes you down a series of ledges before joining back into the original trail, which you run back to the dirt access road.

The nearly 30 mile drive back to Moab is just as scenic as the trail itself if not more. If you have the time, stop by the Castle Creek Winery where you can grab food and enjoy views by the river after a day on the trail!
