When it comes to out-of-the-box off-road capability, none do it better than Jeep. In 2003, Jeep launched its most serious off-road package to date: the Rubicon. Fit with front and rear selectable lockers, skidplates and a 4:1 transfer case, it was ‘wheelers dream. Fast forward to 2018 and we have the all-new Jeep Wrangler JL. As with the TJ and JK models before it, the Rubicon edition lives on. We snuck the keys to one to test over a week in order to discover if the all-new Wrangler has the off-road chops of its predecessors. To find out if it’s worth the hype, be sure to watch our video review above.
